Overview
Research
Many researchers in the department are members of the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine (IIDMM). Research is, therefore, conducted as part of the IIDMM's programmes.
Research focus within the department includes:
- diabetes
- infectious disease
- haematological cancers
- public policy relating to women's issues through the Gender Health and Justice Unit
Research Application Forms
Students at various stages of their postgraduate research career are required to complete certain forms/proposals. Some of these forms are listed below. Most of them can only be accessed by registered postgraduate students. Access is via the Health Sciences Postgraduate Student Vula site. Login with your UCT student number & password.
- On first year registration MoU between student and supervisor (D2A)
- On following years registration MoU/Progress report (D2B)
- Clearance of research proposals (FHS002)
- Approval of study proposal (D1)
- Supervisor appointment form (D3)
- Intention to submit Masters dissertation (D8)
- Intention to submit Doctoral thesis (DDB09)
