Visiting Students
Positions are available for undergraduate medical students to participate in an elective clerkship programme (contact Nick Shortall). This programme is intended to extend the clinical experience of senior medical students who have completed a block in Psychiatry at their parent Medical School.
Students are placed in a general psychiatric unit at Valkenberg Hospital with attendance at grand rounds of the other clinical divisions. Visits to Community Psychiatric Clinics and the Emergency Psychiatric Ward are included in the placement programme.
