The recently concluded Annual Meeting of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA), hosted by the UCT Division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine, did things a little differently with a program that challenged both the minds and bodies of its delegates.
UCT alumnus, sports scientist and reigning Mr South Africa, Dr Habib Noorbhai, has published his first book, Heart, a guide to inspire people to live empowered, socially conscious lives. The book will be launched on 27 November.
The current Mr South Africa, Habib Noorbhai, is among the PhD graduates at the mid-year graduation at UCT on 14 July. His research into the backlift technique in cricket – an essential component of a sound batting technique – has underpinned the design of a revolutionary training bat.
